November had a great start with Oscar's Chance Dinner & Dance raising an amazing amount of £12'357!! From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that bought tickets, donated & helped. The evening was a great success and wouldn't of been the same without everyone who donated their time to help. Molly Brown & Katrina Rae our singers, Bamboozled entertainment, the doll glam parties & next level entertainment for the magic mirror. Thank you to everyone that bid on the auction and well done to everyone that won. After an amazing success we are in the process of organising another for next year so look out for more information.
We have been for a meeting with Ambiente Tapas who had Oscar's chance as charity of the month for October. Throughout the month they managed to raise £1163 which has been equally split between Oscar's Chance & Life For A Kid.
This month we have had a full page in 24 Seven Lifestyle magazine courtesy of Jacqui at The Mortgage Corner. Our story was in a local magazine meaning that local people have had the opportunity to learn about Oscar and our fundraising where maybe they wouldn't normally have heard about us.
We have had a huge collaboration this month with Jean Bishop aka The Bee Lady of Hull. The launch of BeeNicer T-shirts. These are a Charity T-shirt which has been wonderfully designed by Friends On Every Street. All profits from the first 100 will be split equally between Oscar's Chance and Age UK. T-shirts have been very popular and we can't wait for people to start wearing them! If you have pre ordered one please don't forget to tag us in posts when you receive yours! friendsoneverystreet.bigcartel.com is where you need to be if you want to pre order one!
This month we have got our charity plate signed! We went and met Gino D'Acampo and he added his signature next to Oscar's. The plate was very kindly donated by Saramique Studio Hessle where we added Oscar's hand prints and his logo. We will auction this plate off and hopefully it'll raise some great funds towards Oscar's Chance.
We have ended November on a Christmas theme by having a stall at Hessle Light switch on where we managed to raise £341.36 but not only that we managed to speak to a lot more local people again. This is what we love the most about these events getting our name out there and telling local people our fundraising story. Thank you to everyone that came across to our stall & spent time talking to us.
We have also started our Christmas card jars. These are small jars that we are giving away for people to donate towards Oscar's Chance instead of buying each other Christmas cards. We have suggested filling the jars with £1 coins. The jars can be filled with anything all we ask is for them to be returned to us once full.
We have decided to keep December a little bit quieter and focus on Christmas. However to keep up to date with our latest news & fundraising follow our social media accounts @oscarschance.
